Nice today in Quito. We are definitely with Celebrity as we haven't stopped eating. Lovely sushi and beer while we watched Spurs v Dortmund. Smashing buffet brekkie, massive lunch at the theatre, dinner still to come. Visited the birgin with wings, saw gobernors guardsmen, Jesuit's gold church, the convent and the grand plaza. Finally went up the mountain to see the equator. I asked Lin to take a photo of me with one foot in the southern hemisphere. Look what she did.
Back to the airport tomorrow to fly to the Galapagos. Private charter with none of the usual restrictions. I am taking my souvenir machete on board!
